CAMDEN-WYOMING - Richard E. Willey went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Rich was born February 17, 1947 in Dover, Del. to the late, Martin & Olive (Schuyler) Willey.
He served proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Rich was the New Construction Manager for Bayhealth/ Kent General Hospital for over 30 years. In his free time, Rich served as President of the Camden Wyoming Little League, where he also volunteered, especially with his grandkids and their sports. He also enjoyed NASCAR.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his siblings, Gerry Mitchell & Marcus Willey; and a great-granddaughter, Aubri Thompson.
Rich is survived by his wife of 18 years, Carol A. (Ford) Willey; his children, Kathryn Smith, of Harrington, Marcia Willey, of Dover, Scott Willey & wife, Holly, of Milford, Matthew Corbett & wife, Maureen, of Christiansburg, Virginia, and Shannon Corbett, of Wyoming; 12 grandchildren, Kassidy Willey, Jorja Willey, Tristen Willey, Izaac Willey, Emilianne Doolittle, Kraig Doolittle, Emmie Lagers, Carrie McDonald, David McDonald, Billy Smith, Reagan Corbett, and Connor Corbett; eight great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, and his faithful companions, Jager, Hunter, Molly, & Buck.
Funeral Services will be held 8 p.m., Monday, October 25, 2021, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, Del.; where family and friends may view from 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Jeff Dyer, officiating.
Burial will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2021, in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, Del.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Grass RootsRescue, P.O. Box 422, Milton, DE 19968 or thru their web site www.grrde.org.
