SALISBURY - Richard Samuel Williams Bertin, 70, died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at his home. Born Nov. 2, 1944, his parents were the late Irene Williams Bertin and Richard Jay Bertin. He graduated from Wicomico Senior High School, Class of 1962. He earned an associates' degree from Strayer Junior College of Washington, D.C., and a bachelors' degree from the University of Maryland in 1975. He was an accountant 32 years at Campbell Soup Co. in Salisbury and the corporate office in Camden, N.J. Upon his retirement from Campbell Soup, he went to work for a pharmaceutical company in Philadelphia. Rick was an elite athlete. His passion was cycling and he rode in all kinds of weather. He participated in marathons, senior games at Salisbury University and in Delaware. A licensed pilot, he played competitive tennis, and loved bridge, running, golf, surfing, diving and motorcycling. He was a fixture at World Gym in Salisbury. A memorial service was held Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
