Reverend Augustus Mann

Reverend Augustus Mann, departed this life into the peaceful and loving arms of Christ Jesus on May 3, 2012. Augustus was born on October 21, 1936, In Hyde County, N.C. He was the son of Earnest Mann and Olivia Jones. Augustus attended Richard Allen School In Georgetown. He worked at Townsend Poultry Company for 14 years. He began his career as a plasterer in 1960. In 1968, he became self-employed and began his own business as a Dry wall Contractor. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior when he was a young man. He joined Saint John FBH Church in Milford, where he served as an assistant to the pastor. Augustus then pastored his church for over 30 years. He took great pride in Solid Rock FBH Church. Augustus was married for 47 years to Deloyce Williams Mann, who preceded him in death in 2004; and was preceded in death by two brothers, Earnest Jr. Mann, and Linwood Mann. He Leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Irene Frances Millican-Mann Augustus; is the father of, Betty Coverdale of Georgetown, Retha Savage of Dover, Stephen Reynolds (Wife Evelyn) of Ellendale, Calvin Mann of Ellendale, Robert Mann of Philadelphia, Pa., Nannette Mann of Bridgeville, Marshalene Mann, of Seaford, and Bonnie R. Toposki (Husband Mike) of Georgetown, Lenora Mann of Milford, Augustine Young of Atlanta, Ga., Wayne Mann of Baltimore, Md., Jeffrey Mann of New Castle Del., Benjamin Mann of Chambersburg, Pa.; and stepchildren, Brooks Jr. H. Millican, Dover, Tiffany J. Millican, Newark, Del., and John E. Millican (Wife Tiffany), of Philadelphia; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two aunts, Catherine Gibbs and Sara Belluenette of Hyde point, N.C.; three brothers, George Mann of Bridgeville, Leroy Mann (Wife Winnie) of Georgetown, and Jerry Mann of Seaford; one sister, Mary lou Harris of seaford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Jesus Love temple Milford, Delaware. Viewing starts at 10 a.m. and services begin at noon. Interment Mt. Zion Ellendale DE.
