Rev. William Alvin Hitchens Sr., 66 LAUREL, Del. - Rev. William Alvin Hitchens Sr., 66, of Laurel, and Pastor of New Revelations Baptist Church in Cambridge, Md., departed this life on Monday, April 5, 2010, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford, Del. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 47 years, Claudette Hitchens; a daughter, Claudelle Hitchens; two sons, William A. Hitchens Jr. and Louis S. Hitchens (Lisa Diane); father in-law, Samuel Sanders Jr. (Willie Belle); 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Donald Lee Hitchens (Lorraine), Robert Hitchens (Bertha) and Charles Hitchens (Helen); sisters-in-law, Margo Hitchens, Ardella Hitchens, Doris L. Wilson (Lamont), Juanita Green (Bernie) and Sandra Wilson; brothers in-law, Caesar B. Campbell, Ricardo Sanders and Reginald M. Sanders (Sonya) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Homegoing Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 10, at New Revelations Baptist Church, 711 Bradley Ave., Cambridge, with a viewing 6 to 9 p.m., Friday evening at the church.
