WEBSTER, N.Y. - The Rev. Peter Bornemann, 75, who resided in Cambridge for 16 years, died Sunday, May 6, 2007, at Wesley Gardens in Rochester, N.Y., after a serious illness.
Originally from Hoboken, N.J., Mr. Bornemann attended Stevens Institute of Technology, Wagner College and Mount Airy Seminary in Mount Airy, Pa.
He was a Korean War veteran and celebrated 41 years in the Lutheran ministry. He spent many years as the chaplain at the Eastern Shore Hospital Center in Cambridge.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nancy A. Bornemann; his son, Paul and daughter-in-law, Heather; grandsons Zach and Alex Bornemann; stepsons David Mott of Goodlettsville, Tenn., John Mott (DiAnne) of Great Sacadanga Lake, N.Y., Stephen Mott of Ossining, N.Y.; and grandchild, Idren Gwer (Mike) Kerri, Robin (Aaron), Chris and Andy Mott; sisters, Barbara Stainton and Toni (Martin) McKerrow.
Donations in his memory can be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 48 Perrin St., Fairport, N.Y. 14450, where he was a member.
