Residential burglary under investigation

DOVER — Investigation into a Saturday burglary between 8:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. is under investigation, Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

The incident in the unit block of Starboard Court began when an unknown suspect forced open the rear basement door to the home by damaging a door frame. The suspect then entered the residence and stole several pieces of jewelry before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Police asked anyone with information to call 736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delawarecrimestoppers.com; a cash reward of up to $1,000 is possible for information leading to an arrest.
