Eckenbrecht 'Eck', 62 FELTON - Reiner Otto Eckenbrecht 'Eck', died Sunday May 27, 2012, at home. Eck was born in Westerburg, Germany to the late Robert H. Eckenbrecht and Gertrude F. Strunk Eckenbrecht. He had graduated from Susquehanna Valley High School in 1969. He served in the United States Air Force for 24 years retiring from DAFB as Msgt in 1993. After his retirement, he was an accountant for several local businesses. Eck was a member of the Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge; he was a past Governor as well as holding several other positions. He had also served on the Loyal Order of the Moose at the State and District level. Eck was also part of the Moose Legion and Ritual Team. He was a member of the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post #2. Eck was a huge New York Giants and Yankees fan. Eck was preceded in death by his niece, Monica Kraus. Eck is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Carol Freeman Eckenbrecht of Felton; son, Mike Wilson and his fiancé, Kelsey Burris of Sandtown; sisters, Trudy Gracin, of Morrisville, Pa., Christa and her husband Hans Kraus, of Germany; and grandson, Dennis Wilson; father-in-law, Stanley Freeman of Mendon, N.Y.; nieces, Cornelia and her husband Hans-Werner Goerlitz of Germany, Jennifer Noble of Pa.; nephew, Justin Noble and his wife Aubrey of Pa.; and many sister and brother-in-laws. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening. Interment will be at Sharon Hills Memorial Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge, 760 Moose Lodge Road, Camden, DE 19934 or the American Legion Walter L.
