REHOBOTH BEACH — The Rehoboth Beach Historical Society’s walking tours will be offered Monday and Oct. 3 and 10.
The walks start at the bandstand at 9 a.m. and offer 60-minute gentle strolls around downtown with guides.
The cost is a $10 donation to the society, payable in cash to the guide. Reservations are strongly suggested and may be obtained at here.
The tours provide information about the history of Rehoboth Beach, while touching on several of the storms that have shaped the coast and the beachfront. Topics include native peoples of the area, the Methodist camp meetings, hotels and railroad service, shipwrecks and Horn’s Pavilion.
