NEWARK — The Kick Butt Generation of Delaware forces across the state will attend the 2023 KBG Youth Summit at the University of Delaware to gain knowledge and skills to help keep their peers tobacco-free. The summit will educate the state’s youth about the dangerous marketing tactics used by Big Tobacco and equip them with tools to tackle tobacco-related issues in their schools and communities.
Registration is open to Delaware youth who are passionate about tobacco prevention. The free, KBG Youth Summit is on Saturday, Feb. 25. The summit is free, but registration is required. Youth in grades fourth-12th should register here. Registration closes Monday.
Other summit programming includes a session on the environmental impacts of vaping, as well as a session on the deadly history of the tobacco industry. The event offers networking opportunities with peers across the state, creating a public service announcement and other fun activities including a dance break and tobacco-related activity sheet.
