GALESTOWN - Rebecca Lee Porter, age 56, of Galestown, died at Coastal Hospice by the Lake at 4:54 p.m. on Sunday Aug. 2, 2009, after a long illness. Becky is the daughter of John Crockett and Mildred Kirwan and girlfriend of Bernie Miller for some 8 years, also of Galestown. Becky is survived by seven children, George Collins, Jennifer Collins, Carrie Schleupner, Robert Hill, Shannon Smith, Heather Davis, and Georgia Nichols; 11 grandchildren, Jeremy Wilson, Natalie Webster, Trevor Schleupner, Riley Schleupner, Kaleb Hill, Jamie Perry, Aidan Smith, Morgan Wells, Damien Davis, Dylan Davis, and Amber Stant. Becky is also survived by a step-father, Maurice Rounds; a brother, Lynn Crockett; and a sister, Kneicea Tull. Becky was also a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 1384 in Seaford, Del., and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 218 in Sharptown, Md. Becky has donated her body to Science and at her request there will be no memorial service. Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to her favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
