BALTIMORE - Rebecca Elizabeth Hitchcock Haifley, formerly of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 following a brief illness. Born in Tacoma Park, Feb. 2, 1983, she was the beloved daughter of Frances E. Hitchcock, of Salisbury, and the late Dennis L. Hitchcock. Rebecca was a devoted mother who was very loving and giving. She was funny, creative, an accomplished artist, and a published writer. She also enjoyed traveling and lived in France for several years. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Tristan Alexander Hitchcock-Haifley. In addition to her mother, Frances E. Hitchcock, of Salisbury, she is survived by her husband of 14 years, David Haifley, of Baltimore; her son, Aaron Denis Haifley; and two sisters, Jennifer Hitchcock Mrohs and her husband, Robbie and their children, Anabelle and Theron, all of Crisfield, and Emily Hitchcock, of Salisbury. A celebration of her life will be Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Bethesda U. M. Church, 406 N. Division Street, Salisbury. The Rev. Bob Miller will officiate.
