MILFORD - Ralph Thomas Bell passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Ralph was born in Dover, the son of the late Ralph I. and Susie (Holden) Bell. He worked as an electrician and estimator from 1961 until his retirement after becoming ill in Dec. 2013. He worked a majority of his career as an estimator for H & A Electric in Dover. Ralph was a member of the N.R.A and Quail Forever. He was an avid quail hunter, loved fishing and enjoyed taking his two Brittany Spaniels for a ride twice a day, every day. He enjoyed hunting the preserve in North Carolina and enjoyed hunting with his father as much as he could when he was alive. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Lee Ellen; two daughters, Darlene Workman and her husband Raymond of Lincoln and Debra Bell, of Athens, Ga.; one step-son, Walter Mills and his wife Roxanna, of Shrewsbury, Mass.; one brother, Glen Bell and his wife Debbie, of Camden; one brother-in-law, Elmer Briggs of Georgetown; eight grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins and nephews, and his two Brittany Spaniels, who he dearly loved, Gunner and Marcy. Friends may call from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb.16, 2015 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Rt. 113, Milford. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Debbie's Fund for Animals, 794 Canterbury Road, Milford, Del. 19963.
