DOVER — Presbyterian Church of Dover will hold its worship service on Sunday, Oct. 10, the Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost.

Later in the day, the service will be available for viewing on YouTube for those not comfortable coming to the building. For the online worship, go to YouTube and type in Presbyterian Church of Dover. The link is also provided on the website under Resources, as is the Bulletin.

The church is located at 54 S. State St.

The lessons for this Sunday are Job 23:1-9, 16-17, Hebrews 4:12-16 and Mark 10:17-31.

Interim Pastor Duke Dixon’s sermon is entitled “Walking Away.” Lynn Linscott will be the Cantor and will provide special music. Sherry Roscoe will be the guest organist this Sunday. Ms. Roscoe is an accomplished musician who, among many other things, accompanies the Delaware Choral Society and Delaware Youth
Chorale. Gary Patterson will act as Lay Leader.

Due to the rise of COVID cases from the delta variant and new CDC guidelines for wearing masks indoors, masks are required for our indoor worship until further notice. There will also be no singing or passing the peace. Pastor Duke will update when protocols change.

Don’t forget to make an appointment for your photo date. You will receive a Free 8 x 10 photo and a new directory. Look for the table in the new Narthex on Sunday, before and after worship, and make your appointment.

At the same time, you will have the opportunity to sign up for Mission Study Small Groups. These will begin at the end of October.
