Police report drug arrests at Mondegreen festival

DOVER — Dover Police on Tuesday announced multiple drug-related arrests made at the Mondegreen festival held by Phish at The Woodlands at Dover Motor Speedway last week.

On Thursday, according to authorities, a 50-year-old Cincinnati, Ohio man was taken into custody without incident after undercover officers purchased an amount of MDMA.

The man was found in possession of MDMA, LSD and Ketamine, police said. Detectives searched his hotel room and located more drugs, police said. Over $1,000 in suspected drug proceeds, police said.

The man was charged with several drug possession offenses and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $81,500 cash bail .

On Friday, a 50--year-old Philadelphia man was arrested after undercover officer purchased drugs from him, police said.

Drugs seized the man’s vehicle, police said, included MDMA, Ketamine, Psilocybin Mushrooms, liquid LSD, Ecstasy, DMT, marijuana, over $1,000 in suspected, and six tanks of nitrous oxide, police said.

The man was charged with drug possession offenses and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $386,000 cash bail.

A 46-year-old Winsted, Connecticut man was taken into custody without incident after undercover officers purchased an amount of Psilocybin mushrooms from him, police said.

The man, police said, was found in possession of Psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, MDMA, marijuana, over $1,000 of suspected drug proceeds, police said.

The man was charged with drug possession offenses and released on $62,000 unsecured bail,

A 46- year-old Schenectady, New York man was arrested after police said undercover officers purchased an amount of Nitrous Oxide from him.

The man was taken into custody without incident and found in possession LSD, Psilocybin mushrooms, MDMA, Ecstasy and four large nitrous tanks, police said.

The man was charged with drug possession offenses and released on $116,000 unsecured bail.

On Saturday, police said, a 42-year-old Colora, Maryland man was arrested after undercover officers purchased MDMA from him. Police said the man was taken into custody without incident and found in possession of Ketamine, MDMA, Psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, DMT,and over $600 in suspected drug proceeds, police said.

Drug possession charges were brought and the man was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $25,100 secured bail.

Officers also located dozens of Nitrous Oxide tanks at the event, police said.

A 41-year-old Ann Arbor, Michigan man was arrested Saturday for several drug-related offenses, Delaware State Police said.

Police said that at approximately 2:14 p.m. troopers were alerted by festival security after the man, an attendee fled from a security checkpoint when suspected illicit narcotics were found in his vehicle during a routine search. When the man returned to the security checkpoint, troopers took him into custody, police said.

Further investigation led troopers to a nearby campsite, where authorties said the man had hidden a small plastic container after fleeing the security checkpoint. The recovered container was found to hold several illicit substances, including LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide), ketamine, and MDMA (3,4-methyl​enedioxy​methamphetamine).

Also located in the man’s vehicle, police said, was psilocybin mushrooms, MDMA, ketamine, LSD, marijuana, MDMA pills, suspected THC gummies and distribution/packaging materials.

The man was charged with multiple drug possession charges. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released after posting a $5,250 secured bond.

Also, Delaware State Police said, a 26-year-old Chestertown, Maryland man was arrested Friday for assault and offensive touching.

Police said that at approximately 10:30 p.m., troopers were notified that an attendee was under the influence, and acting erratically. While medical personnel were treating the man, police said, he punched an EMT and bit another, authorities said.

The man was ultimately taken to an area hospital. The EMT’s suffered minor injuries, police said.

After release from the hospital, the man was charged with second-degree assault, injuring an EMT and offensive touching of an EMT. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released after posting a $3,000 secured bond.
