CHESWOLD — Police identified John E. Lowman III, 42, of Kenton as the victim killed in a Tuesday crash on U.S. 13 North DuPont Highway at Jerome Drive south of Cheswold.

Delaware State Police said the crash remained under investigation by the Collision Reconstruction Unit. The crash occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. when a Ford F-150 truck Mr. Lowman was driving rear ended a tour bus slowing down at a red light, authorities said.

Northbound U.S. 13 in the area of the crash was closed for approximately four hours while the investigation was completed and the roadway was cleared.
