REHOBOTH BEACH — Delaware State Police have identified the individual who died during a Sunday shooting as Arrick Richards, 41, of Lewes.
Police said troopers were called to Coastal Taproom at approximately 12:45 a.m. and found Mr. Richards in the bar area suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Beebe Healthcare, Lewes, where he was pronounced deceased.
Authorities said an investigation determined that Mr. Richards was allegedly shot by Edward Martin, 46, of Millsboro, over an argument about a game of pool. According to police, Mr. Martin produced a handgun and shot the victim in the chest before fleeing the scene.
Mr. Martin was later taken into custody without incident in the Long Neck area. He was charged with first-degree murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
