BRIDGEVILLE — Delaware State Police have identified Earnest L. Lofland, 55, of Bridgeville, as the person who died of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision Sunday.
Mr. Lofland was injured after the 2018 Toyota Corolla he was driving was struck from behind by a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser on Sussex Highway approaching the Seashore Highway intersection at approximately 4:28 a.m. His vehicle was stopped at a red light at the time of the crash, DSP said.
Mr. Lofland was airlifted to an area hospital, where he died Monday.
