Police: Dover grocery store burglarized by two suspects early Tuesday

DOVER — A grocery store was burglarized by two suspects early Tuesday, Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said.

According to authorities, officers were called to the Grocery Basket 301 N. Bradford Street at 5:48 a.m. for the report of a burglary. Officers responded and located the front door glass had been shattered.

Investigation determined that two suspects entered the store by breaking the front door glass and once inside, removed merchandise from the store and fled. Both suspects are described as males wearing dark clothing, masks, and gloves, police said.

Dover Police asked anyone with information on the incident to call 302-736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delaware.crimestoppersweb.com ; a cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.
