With the end of the high school football regular season now in sight, there’s still a lot to be decided.

As teams juggle for the last few DIAA state tournament berths, not to mention seeding, here’s our predictions for this week’s local games.

Andy Walter, Delaware State News: 85-25
Tim Mastro, Delaware State News: 88-22
Glenn Frazer, 302 Sports: 90-20

Friday’s games

Middletown (4-4) at Sussex Central (7-1), 7 p.m.

The Cavs have played a brutal non-conference schedule but going to Central isn’t very easy, either.

AW: Sussex Central, 24-14; TM: Middletown, 28-21; GF: Sussex Central, 21-17.

Smyrna (7-1) at Appoquinimink (5-3), 7 p.m.

The Eagles have now scored at least 42 points in five of their current six-game winning streak.

AW: Smyrna, 42-13; TM: Smyrna, 42-16; GF: Smyrna, 28-7.

Caravel (5-0, 8-0) at Milford (1-4, 3-5), 7 p.m.

Milford is coming off a big victory but nobody has been able to figure out Caravel yet this season.

AW: Caravel, 35-7; TM: Caravel, 42-21; GF: Caravel, 31-7.

Delmar (3-2, 4-4) at Lake Forest (3-2, 6-2), 7 p.m.

The Spartans have won three of their last four but have lost their last six meetings with the Wildcats.

AW: Delmar, 27-20; TM: Delmar, 22-21; GF: Delmar, 20-18.

Indian River (3-1, 4-4) at Laurel (5-0, 8-0), 7 p.m.

Bulldogs beat IR twice last year — once by just a point and the second time by 33 points in the tourney.

AW: Laurel, 42-13; TM: Laurel, 42-21; GF: Laurel, 35-13.

First State Military (0-5, 2-7) at Early College (0-4, 0-8), 7 p.m.

One of the two scuffling Kent. Co. programs will be happy to get their first district victory.

AW: FSMA, 36-12; TM: FSMA, 28-14; GF: FSMA, 20-6.

Dover (6-3) at Salesianum (6-2), 7:30 p.m.

A year ago, Dover was up 21-6 on the Sals before they erupted for 22 straight points in a 38-28 win.

AW: Sallies, 28-14; TM: Sallies, 31-21; GF: Sallies, 27-21.

St. Georges (2-6) at Cape Henlopen (4-4), 7:30 p.m.

Cape is coming off a couple tough losses but a victory would guarantee it a .500 regular season.

AW: Cape Henlopen, 24-21; TM: Cape Henlopen, 28-24; GF: St. Georges, 30-28.

Woodbridge (2-3, 2-6) at Red Lion Christian (3-2, 5-3), 7:30 p.m.

The Blue Raiders would love to get another win or two but their schedule isn’t going to make that easy.

AW: Red Lion, 31-7; TM: Red Lion, 28-6; GF: Red Lion, 32-14.

Seaford (3-2, 6-2) at Odessa (4-1, 4-4), 7:30 p.m.

The Blue Jays need to bounce back from last week’s Laurel loss but Odessa might not make it easy.

AW: Seaford, 32-12; TM: Seaford, 21-17; GF: Seaford, 28-21.

Saturday’s games

William Penn (2-6) at Caesar Rodney (0-8), 11 a.m.

CR been shut out four times this fall. Penn hasn’t scored in its last three games. Something has to give.

AW: William Penn, 8-3; TM: William Penn, 12-6; GF: William Penn, 24-6.

Polytech (2-6) at St. Elizabeth (8-0), 7 p.m.

Panthers will try to slow down a St. E’s squad that is out-scoring its opponents, 348-55, this year.

AW: St. Elizabeth, 45-14; TM: St. Elizabeth, 38-17; GF: St. Elizabeth, 34-18.

College

Saturday’s games

Monmouth (2-4, 4-5) at Delaware (3-2, 6-2), 1 p.m.

The Blue Hens need a victory but the high-scoring Hawks are a dangerous foe despite their record.

AW: Delaware, 49-42; TM: Delaware, 31-21; GF: Delaware, 34-17.

Delaware State (1-2, 4-4) at South Carolina State (1-1, 3-5), 1:30 p.m.

The Hornets haven’t won in Orangeburg since 2007, losing their last five road games against the Bulldogs.

AW: S. Carolina State, 33-24; TM: S. Carolina State, 28-7; GF: S. Carolina State, 28-27.
