There’s three classes split up into a total of seven districts.
A lot of the old rivalries have stayed the same but the new alignment has created some new ones, too.
With a number of big district games on tap this weekend, here’s our picks for the local games.
Andy Walter, Delaware State News: 66-20

Friday’s games
Laurel (3-0, 6-0) at First State Military (0-3, 2-5), 3 p.m.
The Bulldogs, who have now out-scored their opponents 272-13, are tough for anybody to beat right now.
AW: Laurel, 45-0; TM: Laurel, 49-7; GF: Laurel, 48-6.
Sussex Central (1-1, 5-1) at Cape Henlopen (1-1, 4-2), 7 p.m.
The winner of this Sussex County showdown will feel pretty good about where it stands in Class 3A.
AW: Central, 24-14; TM: Central, 21-14; GF: Central, 28-21.
Lake Forest (2-1, 5-1) at Caravel (3-0, 6-0), 7 p.m.
The Spartans can put themselves in the thick of the district race but beating the Bucs won’t be easy.
AW: Caravel, 33-14; TM: Caravel, 28-21; GF: Lake Forest, 21-20.
Milford (0-3, 2-4) at Woodbridge (1-2, 1-5), 7 p.m.
It’s been a difficult season for both programs but one of them will be happy to get another victory.
AW: Woodbridge, 22-13; TM: Woodbridge, 16-6; GF: Woodbridge, 26-10.
Seaford (2-1, 5-1) at Early College (0-2, 0-6), 7 p.m.
The Blue Jays don’t want to get caught looking ahead to next Friday’s district showdown with Laurel.
AW: Seaford, 42-0; TM: Seaford, 42-6; GF: Seaford, 42-0.
Odessa (3-1, 3-3) at Polytech (1-3, 1-5), 7 p.m.
The Panthers would love to get a victory on homecoming but the Ducks won’t make that an easy task.
AW: Odessa, 27-14; TM: Odessa, 33-27; GF: Odessa, 24-18.
Red Lion Christian (2-2, 3-3) at Sussex Tech (1-3, 3-4), 7 p.m.
It’s been an up-and-down season for the Ravens but they can back to .500 with a win against the Lions.
AW: Sussex Tech, 27-21; TM: Red Lion, 24-20; GF: Red Lion, 27-20.
Indian River (3-3) at Delmar (3-3), 7:30 p.m.
Officially, the game doesn’t count in any district standings but it feels like a Henlopen South matchup.
AW: Delmar, 21-14; TM: 28-13; GF: Delmar, 35-21.
Saturday’s games
Archmere (4-2) at Caesar Rodney (0-7), 11 a.m.
The Auks may be in Class 2A but they’ll still be a formidable opponent for the Riders to get past.
AW: Archmere, 28-7; TM: Archmere, 34-14; GF: Archmere, 24-13.
Smyrna (2-0, 5-1) at Dover (2-1, 5-2), noon
Dover will have to regroup to challenge a Smyrna squad that’s playing as well as any team in the state.

College
Delaware State (1-0, 4-2) at Howard (0-0, 1-5), 1 p.m.
It’s been a difficult week for the Hornets but they’d like to build off last week’s big MEAC road win.
AW: DelState, 24-10; TM: DelState, 19-10; GF: DelState, 20-10.
Morgan State (2-4) at Delaware (5-1), 3 p.m.
The Blue Hens shouldn’t be looking past the Bears after having two weeks to think about Wm. & Mary loss.
AW: UD, 38-10; TM: Delaware, 31-14; GF: Delaware, 35-7.
