As the high school season reaches the halfway point, here's our predictions for this weekend's local football games.

Dover (0-1, 1-3) at Polytech (0-1, 1-3)

One of the two Kent County rivals will be happy to get their first Henlopen North win.           

AW: Dover, 22-14; TM: Dover, 34-13; CA: Dover, 33-13; GF: Dover, 28-17; MP: Dover, 28-6

Sussex Tech (0-1, 2-2) at Caesar Rodney (0-0, 0-4)

After back-to-back losses, the Ravens want to get their season back on track.          

AW: Tech, 28-13; TM: Tech, 42-14; CA: Tech, 24-7; GF: CR, 20-17; MP: Tech, 35-12

Sussex Central (1-0, 3-1) at Cape Henlopen (1-0, 3-1)

The winner will establish itself as the top contender to Smyrna in the Henlopen North.

Laurel (0-1, 2-2) at Indian River (1-0, 1-3)

Laurel will try again for its first South win while the Indians look to make it two in a row.

The unbeaten Buccaneers look to get their South schedule off to a flying start.

Woodbridge (4-0) at St. John Paul, Va. (1-5), 7:30 p.m.

After playing on Monday, undefeated Raiders face a short week and a long busride.

Lake Forest (0-1, 0-4) at Delmar (1-0, 2-2), 1:30 p.m.

Delmar would like to celebrate Homecoming with a second straight South victory.

Smyrna (1-0, 4-0) vs. Howard (2-2), at Baynard Stadium, 7 p.m.
