As the Henlopen Conference football season reaches the halfway point, here are the State News' predictions for this weekend's local high school and college games.

Andy Walter, Delaware Stare News: 44-9

Tim Mastro, Delaware State News: 45-8

Ben Heck, Milford Chronicle: 36-17

Glenn Frazer, Delaware Radio 105.9: 41-12

Matt Pencek, WBOC-TV: 41-12

Today's high school games

Games start at 7 p.m.

Caesar Rodney (1-0, 3-1) at Smyrna (1-0, 1-2)

CR has lost four in a row to Smyrna, scoring an average of 28 points but giving up 51.5.

AW: Smyrna, 45-21; TM: Smyrna, 48-21; BH: Smyrna, 34-21; GF: Smyrna, 48-28; MP: Smyrna, 48-18.

Cape Henlopen (0-1, 0-4) at Polytech (0-1, 1-3)

One of the two squads will just be happy to pick up their first North victory of the year.

AW: Poly, 28-22; TM: Cape, 21-14; BH: Poly, 24-14; GF: Poly, 24-20; MP: Cape, 31-28.

St. Georges (2-2) at Dover (3-1)

After getting blanked by Sussex Central, the Senators are anxious to get back on track.

AW: Dover, 27-20; TM: Dover, 35-20; BH: Dover, 20-13; GF: SG, 27-20; MP: Dover, 35-21.

Sussex Central (1-0, 3-1) at Sussex Tech (0-0, 2-2)

Tech will try to slow down a Central squad that’s been on a roll for the past three weeks.

AW: Central, 28-18; TM: Central, 35-10; BH: Central, 28-20; GF: Central, 28-21; MP: Central, 35-20.

Lake Forest (0-0, 2-2) at Indian River (0-1, 1-3)

The Spartans jump into their South schedule looking for their first winning streak this year.

AW: Lake, 41-18; TM: Lake, 34-17; BH: Lake, 28-7; GF: Lake, 34-18; MP: Lake, 35-12.

Laurel (0-1, 2-2) at Milford (1-0, 2-2)

A bit of a crossroads game for two teams that would like to stay part of the South race.

AW: Milford, 22-20; TM: Laurel, 28-27; BH: Milford, 28-17; GF: Laurel, 26-24; MP: Milford, 42-35.

Delmar (4-0) at Arcadia, Va. (3-3)

After outscoring its last two opponents 104-0, it’s hard to imagine anyone stopping Delmar.

AW: Delmar, 42-12; TM: Delmar, 35-13; BH: Delmar, 38-17; GF: Delmar, 44-23; MP: Delmar, 49-14.

Seaford (0-1, 1-3) at Woodbridge (1-0, 2-2)

The Blue Raiders want to start stacking together some Southern Division victories.

AW: Wood, 44-6; TM: Wood, 49-6; BH: Wood, 38-10; GF: Wood, 42-8; MP: Wood, 56-14.

College

Saturday’s games

Frostburg State (2-0, 3-0) at Wesley (3-0, 4-0), 1 p.m.

This top-six Division. III showdown could decide the NJAC when it’s all said and done.

AW: Wes, 35-28; TM: Wes, 28-21; BH: Wes, 27-24; GF: Wes, 34-30; MP: Frost, 35-34.

Delaware (0-1, 2-2) at Richmond (0-2, 2-3), 3 p.m.

With an open date to prepare, Hens really need to leave Richmond with a victory.

AW: UD, 24-21; TM: UD, 17-10; BH: UD, 21-17; GF: UD, 27-24; MP: UD, 41-24.

North Carolina A&T (1-0, 4-1) at Delaware State (0-1, 0-4, 7 p.m.

The good news? DSU gets its first home game. The bad news? It’s against No. 11 Aggies.
