With Henlopen Conference teams opening their Northern and Southern Division schedules tonight, here's our predictions for local high school and college games:

Andy Walter, Delaware State News: 35-8

Tim Mastro, Delaware State News: 37-6

Ben Heck, Delaware State News: 28-15

Today's games

High School

Games start at 7 p.m. unless noted.

Smyrna (0-2) at Cape Henlopen (0-3)

If Smyrna is going to make a run like ‘17, its North opener would be a good place to start.

AW: Smyrna, 40-13; TM: Smyrna, 42-14; BH: Smyrna, 35-14; GF: Smyrna, 34-17; MP: Smyrna, 46-13.

Dover (3-0) at Sussex Central (2-1)

The Senators have been rolling but they haven’t beat the Golden Knights since 2013.

AW: Central, 27-20; TM: Dover, 35-28; BH: Dover, 28-24; GF: Dover, 28-21; MP: Central, 31-28

Caesar Rodney (2-1) at Polytech (1-2)

CR has a score to settle with Polytech after losing to them for the first time last season.

Appoquinimink (1-2) at Sussex Tech (2-1)

The Ravens are looking to string together back-to-back wins for the first time this year.

Caravel (0-3) at Lake Forest (1-2)

With the Buccaneers struggling, Lake Forest has a chance to get back to the .500 mark.

Milford (1-2) at Seaford (1-2)

A second straight victory will give one of the two Henlopen South teams a .500 record.

Woodbridge (1-2) at Laurel (2-1), 7:30 p.m.

Raiders are out to end a two-game skid against a Laurel team that just scored 78 points.

Indian River (1-2) at Delmar (3-0), 7:30 p.m.

After outscoring its first three foes 125-37, Delmar is a difficult matchup for any team.

College

Wesley ((2-0, 3-0) at Southern Virginia (1-3, 1-3), 1 p.m.

The Wolverines can’t get caught looking ahead to next week’s showdown with Frostburg.

The winless Hornets get a chance for a fresh start as they start their MEAC schedule.
