CAMBRIDGE - Phyllis Bryde died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Chesapeake Woods Center Nursing Home in Cambridge, Md. Along with her husband John, she retired to Woolford, Md. after raising their family in West Milford, N.J., for 47 years. Born in 1928 in Windbur, Pa., Phyllis later received a Registered Nursing degree from the Akron City Hospital School of Nursing. Several years after marrying her husband in 1951, Phyllis left nursing to concentrate on her growing family. She is survived by her husband, John; their children Susan, Beverly, Rebecca, Jeffrey and Joy; and grandchildren Justin, Taylor, Jessica, Hayley, and Jennifer all of whom live on the East Coast and brought great joy to her later years.
