DOVER - Phyllis Ann Mabrey, age 83, of Dover, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2016. Born May 14, 1932, she was the wife of the late James Milton Mabrey. Phyllis had devoted many of her years working for Holy Cross as Cafeteria Manager, and was loved and adored by both Holy Cross School and Holy Cross Church. She was known as the Church Lady of Holy Cross. However, she was best known as the Lunch Lady and Mama Morton. She was a caring and thoughtful person and she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving children, Phyllis Ann Giberson, Joseph Patrick, Brenda Catherine Taylor, and Theresa Mabrey-Diven. In addition, she leaves four granddaughters, two great grandsons and one great granddaughter. A Viewing will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc., 1175 S. State Street, Dover. A Service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016, at 10:15 a.m. at Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc.
