SEAFORD - Paul E. Harris passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on June 22, 2015. Born in Hampton, Va. on July 6, 1943, he was the son of the late Ferdinand "Fred" and Sallie Mae Rowe Harris. A veteran truck driver and carpenter for the last 50 years, he was an avid NASCAR fan and loved playing cards and taking trips to the casino, as well as working in his garden. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Carol King Harris; and his youngest daughter, Billie Elder; two brothers, Bobby G. and Jessie Harris. He is survived by his current wife, Debra; brother, Roy E. Harris of N.C.; four children, Vickie Lineweaver, Bobby Harris, Alice Sellers and her husband, Donnie, Paul Jr. and his wife, Sherry; seven grandchildren, Joshua and Jason Lineweaver, Jessica and Tyler Harris, BJ, Chase and Cassi Jerread; four great-grandchildren, Jason C. Lineweaver, Jonathan Lineweaver, Tristin and Alexander Hill, all of Seaford; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 26th, 2015 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E Market St., Georgetown, Del. 19947 where friends may call after an hour prior to the service. Burial will be private at McColley's Chapel Cemetery in Georgetown.
