DOVER - Patricia Sharp Hennessy Gisriel passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 surrounded by her family at Westminster Village Retirement Community in Dover. Patricia, known by her family and friends as "Patsy" or "Pat" was born on August 4, 1932 in Washington, DC. She was the daughter of the late Celeste Sharp Hennessy and William Leo Hennessy of Wilmington. Pat attended Ursuline Academy in Wilmington and graduated from the Georgetown Visitation Junior College in Washington, DC. During her life, she lived in Wilmington, Havre de Grace, Md. and Dover. Pat was a wonderful and supportive friend to all those who knew her. She was a devoted mother who raised five children, Frank DiMondi of Canterbury, Bill DiMondi (Susan) of Rehoboth, Gayle Putt (Bill) of Cumming, Ga., Diane Seibold (John) of Charlton, Mass. and Kimberly Crossant (Tom) of Rosedale, Md.; as well as two sisters, Phoebe Michaels of Greenville, S.C. and Carol Kowalski (Stan) of Wilbraham, Mass.; twelve grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius E. Gisriel; and sister, Phyllis Osgood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday Jan. 31, 2014 at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901. Friends may call one hour before Mass starting at 9 a.m. on Friday. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington. Arrangements by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
