Patricia M. Woehrle

MILFORD - Patricia M. Woehrle passed away on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington. Pat was born on July 19, 1934, in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late George and Gertrude (Maguire) Monks. She began her career in communications as the switchboard supervisor at Milford Memorial Hospital. Pat later accepted a position as Director of telecommunications with the Children's National Medical Center in Washington where she remained for several years before being hired in 1982 as the Director of telecommunications for Georgetown University Hospital in Washington. She retired from that position in 1995. Pat was an active member and also served as a board member of the Milford Senior Center and was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Milford, where she enjoyed singing in the choir for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Parsons; and a granddaughter, Tammy Parsons. She is survived by three sons; and two daughters-in-law, Paul S. Woehrle of Miami, Fla.; Phillip S. and Mary Beth Woehrle of Lincoln and Jonathan A. and Rosemary Woehrle of Potomac, Md.; and two grandchildren, Lia Woehrle and Andrew Woehrle. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at Christ Episcopal Church, 200 N. Church St, Milford. Burial will follow the service in the Milford Community Cemetery on North Walnut Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Christ Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 191, Milford, DE, 19963 or to the Milford Senior Center, 111 Park Ave, Milford, DE, 19963. Condolences may be emailed at www.delmarvaobits.com/rogers
