Patricia Lou Holt

SNOW HILL, Md. - Patricia "Patsy" Lou Holt, of Snow Hill, Md., died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury. She was 74. Mrs. Holt was born April 27, 1937, in Centreville, Md., to the late George Edward Stubbs and Lulu Elizabeth Tate Stubbs. She graduated from Centreville High School in 1955. She worked as a substitute teacher for Caesar Rodney school district. Mrs. Holt had also worked as an independent over the road truck driver for Charter Williams trucking now Burris Foods. She enjoyed dancing, music, cooking, crossword puzzles, but she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Gail Slack, 2007; and sisters, Dorothy Simpler, Louise Walters, and Virginia Lord. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Willis "PeeWee" Holt of Snow Hill, Md.; sons, Dennis Franklin Yarema of Savanna, Ga., Michael Richard Yarema of Salisbury, Md.; daughter, Mary Charlene "Sherry" Shahan of Missouri; step daughters, Patricia "Trisha" of Augusta, Ga., Melissa Hess of Mardela Springs, Md.; brothers, George Edward "Jr." Stubbs of Chestertown, Md., William "Billy" Stubbs of Marydel, and John R. "Jack" Stubbs of Centerville, Md.; 16 grandchildren and many great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
