Patricia Leonard Burns

Burns, 71 SMYRNA - Patricia Leonard Burns passed away on Wed., Apr. 17, 2013. She was born in Philadelphia and lived in Amherst and Hadley, Mass., where she was a very successful real estate agent for many years. She was a member of St. Polycarp Parish, an avid walker, and an amazing friend to countless people. She was the most beloved wife of the late John F. Burns, loving mother of the late Tricia Burns Guertin; daughter of the late Mary McGovern Leonard and James Leonard; dear sister of Theresa Scheid, the late Rose Bethel, Mary Mauro, James (Cass) Leonard and Joseph Leonard. She is also survived by brothers in law, Larry (Mary) Burns, James (Esther) Burns and Earl Horn; and sister in law, Mary (John) Miles. She will be sadly missed by many loving nieces and nephews along with her devoted friends and neighbors. A Memorial Mass will be offered 12 p.m. Fri., Apr. 26, 2013 at St. Polycarp Catholic Church, Ransom Lane and South St., Smyrna. Interment will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patsy's name to the Clarke School for the Deaf, Development Office, 45 Round Hill Road, Northampton, MA 01060-2123, would be appreciated.
