Patricia Ann Parks, 74 SALISBURY - Patricia Ann Parks died at her home, surrounded by family, on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020. Born and raised in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Grover C. Smarr and Docia F. Smarr. For many years, she lived on Tangier Island, where she was a substitute teacher, cut hair, and took dinners to the elderly and shut-ins on the island. After moving to Salisbury, she provided housing for college students. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Larry Parks; four daughters, Rhonda Cooper of Salisbury, Nichole Parks of Delmar, Ashley Parks of Salisbury and Cindy Wheatley of Tangier; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her sisters, Donna Parks of Tangier, Lisa Pusey of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Salisbury. Interment was at the Old Zion Cemetery in Fruitland. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
