Patricia Ann Miller Potts, 69

DOVER - Patricia Ann Miller Potts of Dover passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at her home. She was 69.

She was born Nov. 18, 1937, in Wilmington, to the late James and Emily Dressner Springer, where she lived until the death of her first husband.

After the death of her husband, Robert J. Miller, in 1970, she worked at the Hill Top Cafe, Delaware Steel Barrel Co., and Gitto Padaudni Deli in Wilmington.

After moving to Hartly, Mrs. Potts became a member of the Hartly Volunteer Fire Co. and Ladies Auxiliary.

She was a member of Parents Without Partners for many years.

Mrs. Potts worked for the Hartly Post Office and started her own business as a domestic engineer "Let Pat Do It," where she touched many peoples lives.

She then started a second business a second hand store in Smyrna, "Pat"s Treasure Trove."

Mrs. Potts enjoyed crafts and painting, making toys and dolls, repairing old dolls, doing clothing alterations for friends and family, and playing po-ke-no with her friends.

She was a longtime member of the Mormon Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Miller in 1970; her father, James B. Springer in 1984; her sister, Virginia Shanding in 1990; her mother, E. Jane Springer in 1998; and her husband J. Jeffery Potts in 2000.

She is survived by a son and his wife, Robert E. and Jeanette Erhart of Texas; a son, James L. Miller of Delaware; a daughter and her husband, Rebecca J. and Leonard Thompson of Dover; a sister and her husband, Sarah Jane and William Walker of Delaware; a sister and her husband, Jane Mae and Allen Young of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Celebration of life services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, U.S. 10, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior.

Burial will follow at the Elkton (Md.) Cemetery at 2 p.m.

The family request that memorial contributions be given to American Diabetes Association, 100 West 10th St., Suite 102, Wilmington, DE 19801.
