720 PM EDT Fri Jul 3 2026

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM EDT FOR

CENTRAL MERCER COUNTY...

At 720 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles north of New

Wilmington, or 9 miles east of Hermitage, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...911 Call Center

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...

Hermitage, Mercer, Stoneboro, Clark, Fredonia and Jackson Center.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from

windows. This storm has produced damaging winds.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM EDT

FOR NORTHERN HUNTERDON...MORRIS...SOUTHEASTERN SUSSEX...WARREN...

NORTHWESTERN SOMERSET AND EAST CENTRAL NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES...

At 719 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from near Hamburg to Greendell to Forks, moving southeast

at 55 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile

homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Easton, Morristown, Bridgewater, Dover, Madison, Hopatcong, Florham

Park, East Hanover, Lincoln Park, Kinnelon, Hackettstown, Chatham,

Boonton, Butler, Wharton, Washington, Rockaway, Morris Plains, Mount

Arlington, and Franklin.

This includes the following highways...

Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 4 and 37.

Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 14 and 49.

Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 18 and 54.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.

They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in

Mount Holly NJ.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM EDT

FOR SOUTHERN HUNTERDON...SOUTHWESTERN WARREN...EAST CENTRAL BERKS...

NORTHERN MONTGOMERY...SOUTHEASTERN LEHIGH...BUCKS AND SOUTHEASTERN

NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES...

At 721 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from near Easton to near Allentown to Zionsville to near

Topton, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. These storms have a history or producing

wind damage.

Allentown, Easton, Bethlehem, Lansdale, Forks, Emmaus, Quakertown,

Perkasie, Doylestown, Byram, Wilson, Souderton, Bedminster,

Hellertown, Flemington, Chalfont, Tinicum, Hatfield, East Greenville,

and New Hope.

People at the New Hope America 250 Celebration should seek safe

shelter immediately!

Northeast Extension between mile markers 25 and 53.

Interstate 78 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 58 and 76.

Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 3.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.

Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading

killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to

be struck by lightning.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN BERKS...LEHIGH

AND SOUTHWESTERN NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 730 PM EDT...

The storms which prompted the warning are moving out of the area.

Therefore, this warning will be allowed to expire.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for

eastern Pennsylvania.
