BRIDGEVILLE - Ormond L. Willoughby, of Bridgeville, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at his home. He was 78. Ormond was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Bridgeville to the late Frank and Florence Marvel Willoughby. He was a mechanic working at several different places. Ormond enjoyed gardening, going fishing, and coon hunting with his dogs. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ormond Ray Willoughby; and a sister, Evelyn McDowell. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Robinson Willoughby; six children, David and his wife Kelli Willoughby of Federalsburg, Gary Willoughby of Bridgeville, Mary Willoughby of Bridgeville, Harold Willoughby of Bridgeville, Robert Willoughby of Ticonderoga, N.Y., and Mark and wife Kristie Willoughby of Seaford; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anna McDowell of Greenwood, and Virmadel McAllister of Laurel; and a brother, William Willoughby of Milford. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St, Greenwood, DE 19950. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be held a Bloomery Cemetery in Federalsburg, Md. Donations may be made to Fleischauer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 502, Greenwood, DE 19950 to help defray funeral cost.
