One shot in alleged road rage incident in Dover

DOVER - A 34-year-old man was shot during an alleged road rage incident Tuesday morning, Delaware State Police spokesperson Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said.

Police said that at approximately 11:48 a.m., troopers began investigating a shooting that occurred on Seven Hickories Road in the area of Brenford Road.

Investigators found that the man had been struck by gunfire while he was seated in his vehicle after an alleged road rage incident, police said.

The wounded man was transported by an acquaintance to an area hospital, where he is receiving treatment for his wounds, police said. No other persons were injured.

Police said there is currently no suspect information available. The Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate.
