DOVER - A 65-year-old Dover woman has died from injuries suffered when her bicycle was struck by a motor vehicle on Oct. 20, authorities said on Monday.
Dover police spokesperson Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said Evalene Pyle was operating a bicycle that collided with a motor vehicle when entering northbound Bay Road at approximately 3:58 p.m. Ms. Pyle, who police said was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the bicycle.
Ms. Pyle was transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police helicopter. She succumbed to her injuries on Oct. 21, police said.
Cpl. Schmid said Dover police are investigating the incident and asked anyone with information to call 302-736-7130.
