Oma M. Dennard (Marlene), 69 VIENNA, Md. - Oma M. Dennard (Marlene) 69, of Vienna, was called home to be with her Lord Jesus on February 2, 2010, at her home in Vienna, Md. She was born on January 5, 1941, the daughter of Hattie Mae Dennard and the late Phillip Dennard. Marlene was educated in Dorchester school system, Maces lane High School, class of 1959. She had a love for singing and cooking Marlene loved and enjoyed spending time with her children and family. She attended Vienna Wesley church before her health failed her. Marlene was a hard working woman that worked various jobs, and most importantly she was a wonderful mother. Ms. Dennard was preceded in death by her daughter Wanda and son Michael Dennard. She was survived by three children, two daughters, Evangeline Dennard, Clarissa Dennard and one son, Curtis (Tabitha) Dennard. She was next to the oldest of eight children, sisters, Shirley Mae Carr, Mabel Dennard, and Theresa Dennard; brothers, Phillip Dennard Jr., Vernon Dennard, Fred Dennard and Leroy Dennard; grandchildren, Te'lisha Dennard, Lakeisha Dennard Rayshawan Maddox, and Kayden Dennard, Keyanda Williams; great- grandchildren, Ke'Showjn Pinkett, Ke'jyirah Richardson, Day'Bron Pinkett, and Day' Showjn Pinkett. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, at Vienna United Methodist Church with a hour viewing prior to service. All service is being handle by Bennie Smith Funeral Home Salisbury, Md.
