Olive Genevieve Moore

Moore, 91 HARRINGTON - Olive Genevieve Moore went home to be with Lord on Dec. 3, 2012 with her devoted husband and loving family at her side, in Pennsylvania. Born in Church Hill, Md. on May 7, 1921, Genevieve lived in Harrington, for 66 years. She was a 1938 graduate of Church Hill High School and married George Klein Moore, Jr. of Centerville, Md. in 1940. Genevieve and Klein were best known for owning Moore's Dairy Store in Harrington until 1978. The couple was approaching their 72nd wedding anniversary on Dec. 14, 2012. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Georgetown for 20 years. Genevieve loved the Lord and was committed to her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughters, Kaye Moore Tubbs and Carol Ann Porter; son, Richard Klein Moore; brothers, William Skinner and Donald Skinner; and son-in-law, Billy Porter. She is survived by George Klein Moore, Jr. her husband, who currently resides in Clarks Summit, Pa.; her brother, James Skinner of Milford; grandchildren, Eva Shahan, Kim Walter, Billy Porter, Jay Porter, Dwain Moore, Dirk Moore, Kristin Moore, and Summer Kinder; her daughter-in-law, Faye Moore of Clarks Summit; and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South Dupont Highway, Harrington, DE 19952 on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 from noon to 1 p.m. with a funeral service following at 1 p.m. Interment will be held in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
