LAUREL - Norris L. Niblett departed this life on Nov. 17, 2012. He was born on Oct. 12, 1929 in Laurel, the son of Chester and Lyda Niblett (nee Calhoun), both of whom predeceased him. He is survived by his sister, Patty Lynch; his niece, Phyllis Lynch both of Laurel; his stepson, Jack Downey and his wife, Donna Downey, of Laurel; his stepdaughter, Sandra Downey, of Laurel; his ex-wife, Mable Niblett; his daughters, Tina and Denise Niblett; and long time friend, Jacklyn Lankford. A viewing will be held at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home Laurel, on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m. Private funeral services will follow.
