FARMINGTON - Norma Lee LeGates, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 in Milford Memorial Hospital. Mrs. LeGates was born in Harrington, the daughter of the late Carl and Mary (Wyatt) Roork. She was a homemaker. She was a life member and Past President of the Farmington Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, serving for over 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and doing search word puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl LeGates in 2009. She is survived by one daughter Veronica Harrell, of Bastrop, La; two sons, Carl I LeGates and Ron Legates, both of Farmington; a granddaughter whom she and her late husband raised Bobbi C. Rhodes, of Altoona, Pa.; two brothers, Carl Roork and Delvin Wade Roork; six grandchildren Christopher Bader, Corey LeGates, Alexis LeGates, Samantha Galloway, Michael Galloway, and Gracelynn McCauley; and two great-grandsons Ethan Robertson and Hunter Robertston. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington where friends may call from 12 to 1 pm. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington, Del. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Farmington Volunteer Fire Co; 20920 South DuPont Hwy, Greenwood, DE 19950.
