Nonprofit seeks open space to celebrate Native American cultures

Public garden the goal of foundation

Persistent rain on the second day of the 2025 Nanticoke Indian Powwow on Sept. 7 put a damper on festivities at Hudson Fields in Milton.

Undeterred by the weather, however, were Courtney Streett and John Reynolds, co-founders of the Native Roots Farm Foundation. The nonprofit is dedicated to celebrating Native American culture, protecting open space and cultivating a public garden.
