No injuries reported as Dover homes damaged by gunfire

DOVER — No injuries were reported in a shooting incident that damaged multiple homes Tuesday, said Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid.

According to authorities, police received a call at 12:21 a.m. Wednesday reporting that a house in the unit block of Willis Road had been struck by gunfire.

Responding officers observed damage on the residence consistent with being shot by gunfire, Cpl. Schmid said. Investigation revealed that several homes were shot in the area as a result of a shooting and it was determined that this incident occurred between 6:50 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

This investigation is ongoing and police ask anyone with information to call 302-736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delaware.crimestoppersweb.com. A cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.
