Niyam A. Mano

DOVER - Niyam A. Mano passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at the Cardia Rehabilitation Center in Dover. He was born in Boston, Mass. on April 6, 1922. He moved to Dover in 1950. He was employed by the A&P of Dover and then Super Fresh of Smyrna as manager for over 45 years. He enjoyed football, baseball and his friends. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Catherine T. Mano; and son, Niyam A. Mano, Jr. Survivors include four daughters, Paris M. Mano of Stuart, Fla., Cathy A. King and her husband Bruce King of Lewes, Melody A. Knotts and her husband Richard Knotts of Oceanview and Alisa J. Rhodes and her husband John Rhodes of Cecilton, Md.; six grandchildren, Tammy Johnson, Kristine Kinard, Shannon Stuart, Cheris Scott, Justin King and Katelyn King; as well as ten great grandchildren. Services will be private with burial at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Special thanks to the Cadia Rehabilitation Center for their loving care and Short Funeral Services for all the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Meals on Wheels, c/o Modern Maturity Center, 1121 Forrest Ave., Dover, DE 19904.
