Nancy E. Blackburn

Nancy E. Blackburn, 41 MILFORD - Nancy E. Blackburn, of Milford, died Monday, March 22, 2010, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 41. She was born in Salisbury, Md., to Edward Albert Darling of Harrington and Helen J. Darling of Georgetown. Mrs. Blackburn worked as a receptionist for Avenue Medical of Dover. In her spare time, she enjoyed making crafts, sewing, and final word puzzles. She was a loving, compassionate and devoted wife and mother who lived for her family and took great care of them. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. In addition to parents, she is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Robert T. Blackburn Jr. of Milford; son, Brandon Blackburn of Frederica; daughter, Kimberlie Blackburn of Milford; brother, Thomas Darling of Hawaii; and stepsisters, Carey Dover of Harrington, Florence Sharp of Kings Mountain, N.C., and Donna Rothenberg of Abington, Md. A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 27, at South Bowers Volunteer Fire Company, 57 Scotts Corner Road, Milford. Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington.
