Musician donates instruments to Caesar Rodney schools

Posted

CAMDEN — The band and music programs of the Caesar Rodney School District recently received a generous donation from local musician and Air Force retiree Kevin Keene.

Mr. Keene gifted four electric guitars, four bass guitars and eight amplifiers to be used by students at Caesar Rodney High School and the district’s middle schools.

The musician said he hopes that more children develop a passion for music and that the new gear will help them gain a greater appreciation for guitars and the role they can play in a full ensemble band. It is well known that learning to play any instrument can have a significant impact on a student’s academic and social skills.
