DOVER - No injuries occurred as multiple shots were discharged in the area of South Queen Street and South Kirkwood Street Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

Two homes on the street were struck by gunfire, according to Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman. At approximately 2:18 p.m., he said, officers responded to a vacant lot in the unit block of South Kirkwood Street for a report of multiple shots fired.

Upon arrival, Sgt. Hoffman said, officers located several shell casings in the area and contacted residents of South Queen Street in the area where the shooting occurred.

Witnesses reported that the suspects possibly fled in a black sedan.
