Multiple drug arrests made in Sussex County

GREENWOOD - A two-month investigation with the coordinated efforts by law enforcement brought the arrests of several men Wednesday, Delaware State Police spokesperson Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said.

In June and July, authorities said, state police and the Drug Enforcement Agency worked together to identify several residences and property lots in the Unity Lane area of Greenwood (informally known as “The Hole”) and the Metz Lane area of Ellendale that were actively involved in the distribution of narcotics.

Joined by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Dover Police Department, and Delaware Probation and Parole, authorities executed a series of search warrants at numerous locations.
Police said heroin, crack cocaine, powder cocaine, and marijuana were located, along with six firearms, numerous rounds of ammunition, and drug paraphernalia.

Richard Boyd, 54, of Greenwood, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (three counts), and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $15,500 cash bond.:

Alexander Marsh, 59, of Greenwood, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (two counts), and resisting arrest. He was committed to SCI on $10,000 secured bond.

Robert Reed, 54, of Greenwood, was charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, resisting arrest, and third-degree criminal solicitation. He was committed to SCI on $8,000 secured bond.

Jermain Boyd Sr., 50, of Harrington was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (nine counts), and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was committed to SCI on $70,500 secured bond.

Gary Williams, 32, of Ellendale, and Frank Lovett, 35, of Harrington, remained sought on drug and firearm charges.
