Heinen, 45 Harrington - Morgan Heinen, age 45 of Harrington, passed away on September 8, 2015 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. He was born in Dover, to William Thomas Jackson, Jr. of Harrington and Ruth Emily Heinen of Harrington. Morgan served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Persian Gulf Crisis. He worked in weatherization for the R.S. Bauer Heating and Cooling Company of Harrington. Morgan was a jack of all trades and loved working with his hands. He loved to fix things and work on cars. When he was not hard at work, he loved to go fishing. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking. He could gather ingredients that you would never imagine would go together, and create something delicious out of them. Morgan was always a phone call away and enjoyed helping people. Whether it was day or night he would be there for you, helping out any way he could. He knew everyone and everyone knew him. He would light up a room whenever he walked into it. His goofy nature always made his presence known as well as his classic one liners. His warm personality and great sense of humor will forever be missed by all that knew him. Morgan is survived by his loving wife, Renee L. Heinen of Harrington; son, Mathew Morgan Heinen of Milford; daughters, Anna May (Brian) Bullock of Shreveport, La., Catherine Elizabeth Slaughter of Harrington; brother, William Thomas Heinen of Harrington; sister, Loretta Lynn Hanson of Minnesota; grandchild, Cayden Damon Slaughter-Clendaniel; god daughter, Zoey McKenzie; best friends, Forrest Smith and Ruth Collister; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Services will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, at 7 p.m. A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service.
