MAGNOLIA - Michael R. Hummel passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Michael was born on March 20, 1955 in Philadelphia, Pa. son of the late Betty and Alfred H. Hummel, Sr. He had worked for the U.S. Postal service. Michael enjoyed hunting, wrestling, motorcycle riding and baseball. Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Judy Hummel. He is survived by his wife, Karen Hummel; three sons, Michael Hummel, Jr. and his wife Sarah of Dover, Jonathan Hummel of Magnolia and Ryan Hummel of Magnolia; three brothers, Alfred H. Hummel, Jr. and his wife Rosemary of Frederick, Md., David L. Hummel of Anchorage, Alaska, Dennis Hummel and his wife Sharilyn of Camden; three grandchildren, Lilly Yates, Lucille Hummel and Michael Hummel III; and a special niece, Tracey Hummel. A gathering of remembrance will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Burial will be private.
