Michael Mason Moore, 57

LEWES - Michael Mason Moore of Lewes, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2007, at his home, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 57.

Michael was born in Wilmington on Jan. 9, 1950, to the late William G. and Gloria V. Moore.

He served in the U.S. Army with a tour of duty in Vietnam and was an employee of Sussex County for more than 25 years.

Michael enjoyed woodworking, especially projects which resulted in furniture for his home.

He also enjoyed preparing gourmet meals for his friends and family.

Michael is survived by his wife of 34 years, Adrianne Moore; and his son, Mason Z. Moore.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, South, Millsboro.

A gathering to celebrate the life and times of Michael will be held on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Manor House on Del. 9 in Lewes.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Michael"s memory to be made to The Christian Storehouse, Old Landing Rd, Millsboro, DE 19966; or Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
